We believe that effective assessment is a continuous process that provides quality information to improve teaching and learning and raise achievement for all pupils.

The school day starts at 8:55am and ends at 3:30pm for all pupils, Early years finish at 3:25pm.

We value the individuality of all of our children. We are committed to giving all of our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards. We do this by taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences and needs.

At St John’s, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and, at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.

The Learning Council at St John’s works hard to ensure that children’s rights are respected.
