The role of the Governing Body is to support the school by ensuring that it is effectively managed and has close links with the community that it serves.
Our governors bring a range of skills and interests to the board, but all share a commitment to ensure St John’s flourishes and is the best it can be! You can find out more about them here.
Each governor takes on the responsibility to monitor a particular area of school life. As Link governors they visit the school regularly and may speak to staff in charge of their area, complete a learning walk or speak to children as appropriate. They then produce written reports to feed back to the full board.
