As a Church of England School, we base our curriculum, teaching and learning on our school vision and values. Within the parish of Highbury, St John's is supported by three local churches: Christ Church, St Augustine's and St Thomas's. The school is active within each of the churches and has weekly visits from one of our linked Vicars.

St John's Highbury Vale School works in conjunction with Teaching London: LDBS SCITT to recruit and train teachers on the School Direct programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
